Grassfed Beef -
Born and raised in our pastures, by our family.
Available by the quarter, half, or whole
Why Families Buy Beef This Way
Grocery Budget Stability
If you fill your freezer once a year with beef, your price doesn’t change for the whole year.
That simplifies both meal planning and grocery budgeting for months to come.
The average price of ground beef at the grocery store is already about 10% higher than it was last fall.
But beef from us isn’t passing through layers of corporations, distributors, marketing departments, and shifting retail pricing.
We simply look at what it costs us to responsibly raise the animal here on our farm and price accordingly.
Peace of Mind
There is real peace of mind for me, to open a freezer and see that my family’s covered.
In the winter, we eat a lot of roasts, short ribs, and hotdishes. Nothing beats coming into the house, out of a -10 wind chill, and smelling a pot roast slow simmering in the crockpot with some onions, potatoes, and carrots.
In the summer, we eat the majority of our steaks and the bulk of the ground beef.
A perfectly pink, hand pattied, juicy burger off the grill never gets old. We have grilled burgers at least once a week all summer long and no one gets tired of them.
I also have 20 pounds of ground beef made into patties by the butcher shop. It never fails that a certain college student comes over with his friends and wants a good burger, right now (he tells me I have ruined him for eating at DQ - which was his favorite - because nothing compares to our burgers or my homemade ice cream).
When that happens, it’s frozen hamburger patties to the rescue - they can go straight from the freezer to the Pit Boss.
How It Works
Reserve Your Beef
Choose a Whole, Half, or Quarter
Cost is $5.50/lb hanging weight (paid to us).
Processing cost is separate - that is paid directly to A&M Processing (by Hamburg). This varies depending on how you have your beef cut but averages $1/lb.
Make Payment
2 options:
Spread your payments out - the 1st of June, July, August, and September
OR
Pay a deposit now and the balance on September 1st
Choose Your Cuts
Call A&M Processing the week of August 24th and they will take your cutting order.
Pick Up Your Beef
A&M will call you when they have it packaged and frozen and it is ready to pick up, from their shop by Hamburg. This should be around September 10-12.
When you pick it up, you also pay them for the processing.
-
We do NOT know the exact final weights ahead of time.
These are real animals — not factory beef — and weights naturally vary.
We do not own a livestock scale, so our estimates are based on experience and visual assessment only.
That means:
the final hanging weight could be higher or lower than estimated
and we will not know exact weights until September 1
We want to be very upfront about that so there are no surprises.
-
For a whole, you get the entire beef to yourself.
For a half, they cut it right down the middle and you get one half.
Quarters are what are called “split sides” - they take a half and divide it up between 2 people, that way one person isn’t getting only the front cuts while the other gets only the back cuts.
-
A&M Processing will ask about the most common cuts people get, including:
Steak thickness (we recommend 1”). You’ll get T-Bone, Ribeye, Sirloin, and Round.
How many steaks per package
Roast size
Ground beef package size - 1, 1 ½ or 2 pounds
Whether you want ribs or not
Whether you want soup bones or not
Additional cuts I like to ask for:
Organs
Brisket
Hamburger patties (20 pound minimum)
Skirt Steak
Flank Steak
Shanks
Any cut that you don’t want can go into your ground beef, so you’re not losing out if you don’t want a certain cut - just have it ground into hamburger.

Reserve Your Beef
There’s something deeply comforting about opening the freezer and already knowing supper is there.
Taco night.
Chili in January.
Burgers on the grill in July.
A roast simmering in the crockpot while the snow blows outside.
For our family, freezer beef isn’t just about buying meat. It’s about feeding our family well, simplifying life a little, and having nourishing food ready every day.
If that’s something you’ve been wanting for your family too, we’d love to feed your family this year.
We only have 4 beef available this round, and reservations are first come, first served.
