🧡 Connecting with Other Members
I’ve set up a simple Google Form (click here) where you can share your first name, city, and phone number if you’d like to connect with other members who live nearby. Once I have responses, I’ll share the spreadsheet with those who opted in so you can find each other and coordinate pickups if you wish.
This is completely optional, but it’s a nice way to build community — especially for those who drive a bit farther. For example:
If two families pair up, you would only have to drive to the farm every 4 weeks.
If three families coordinate, you might only need to make the trip every six weeks!
Everyone’s bottles and payment does need to come with, so you’d need to coordinate getting your payment and empty bottles to the pickup person before they come out, as well.
❄️ Winter Pickup Blocks and Weather Plans
Minnesota winters are no joke, so here’s a quick reminder about picking up this time of year.
You can come on any day within your block — so if a storm is in the forecast for Thursday, and you usually pick up on Thursday, you’re always welcome to come on Wednesday. Please, please don’t risk driving in unsafe conditions. Your safety is far more important than a jug of milk.
That said, it’s also very important that milk goes out on time. We milk twice a day, 365 days a year, and our bulk tank and fridge space can only hold so much. If everyone waits until the last day of their pickup block and a storm hits, we end up with more milk than we can store.
A couple of years ago, we had that exact situation — a snowstorm rolled in on a Sunday morning (after being forecast since Wednesday!), and we were scrambling to find fridge space until the roads cleared.
So this year, let’s stay ahead of it together:
👉 Keep an eye on the forecast and adjust accordingly if winter weather is expected.
We’ll keep milking, keep praying, and keep trusting the Lord to guide and protect each of us — on the roads, in the barn, and in this good work we get to share.
🙏 Standing Firm in Our Calling
I also want to share something a little heavier, and ask for your prayers.
In recent weeks, we’ve been facing pressure from the Minnesota Department of Agriculture. Their interpretation of the raw milk laws differs from ours, and while we believe we are operating within the law — with honesty, transparency, and the utmost care for safety — they’ve made it clear they’d rather see farms like ours stop doing what we do.
We believe that people have the God-given right to choose what they eat and drink — to make informed decisions for their families, especially when it comes to something as foundational as food. When the MDA targets small raw milk dairies like ours, they aren’t just coming after us. They’re coming after you — the customer.
This is how they control and discourage families from drinking raw milk: by making it harder, riskier, and less sustainable for small farms to stay in business. I only know of one raw milk dairy in Minnesota that has managed to keep going long-term. The rest are often worn down by regulation, legal pressure, or sheer exhaustion.
I share this not to stir up fear, but to ask for prayer — for our family, for other small farms, and for every family who values real food and freedom.
We’re not in this to make a fortune. Our hearts are for people. We do this because we’ve seen how living, unprocessed food can transform health. We do it because we believe the Lord has called us to serve families in this way — and because obedience sometimes means standing firm when the world pushes back.
But like any family or ministry, a farm must also be sustainable to continue. We need wisdom — to keep doing what’s right, to stand firm with grace, and to remain both faithful and financially viable.
Please pray with us:
For strength and peace in the face of opposition,
For protection over our family and animals,
For clarity and courage in every next step,
And for provision — because we know God is faithful.
Our goal remains simple: to serve families well, to share nutrient-dense food that heals and nourishes, and to keep living out our faith quietly and steadfastly in the work of our hands.
Thank you for walking alongside us, for believing in what we do, and for being part of this story. We feel your prayers and encouragement deeply, and we are so grateful for each of you.
With gratitude and faith,
Matt and Amy 🕊️
